About Petra
I work in my home studio (solo, or with subcontracted associates) for small an medium-sized businesses and work remotely or in a hybrid style of work. I have over 25 years of experience, hold the equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Design (BDes) and have been a DesCan (previously GDC) certified design professional (CDP) since 2008. Past clients/projects include CBC Radio, Vancouver Sun, Applied Arts Magazine, Pacific Yachting Magazine, Canadian Yachting Magazine, The Vancouver and Toronto Boat Show guides, The Co-operative Housing Federation of BC, The Directors Guild of Canada, The Arts Club Theatre, and more.
When not working I enjoy getting out for nature walks (with an audiobook or my camera), tending to my aquariums of guppies or my two cats, visiting with friends and family, cooking, gaming, and watching TV or movies.

Location
I’m based in beautiful Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Since almost all of my work deliverables are digital, I have the flexibility to work remotely with clients from anywhere. I’m proficient in industry-standard software on both Mac and PC, and I operate from my home office. I communicate with clients through phone calls, email, and video chat, and for online collaboration, I’m well-versed in using tools such as Zoom, Slack, Discord, and Figma. I’m also a fast learner and open to learning any other tools your team may require.
